Candy Table Is Fun!

Do a candy table instead of the individual candy box or bag that sits at each setting. We just did a wedding with a very cool and fun table for guests to choose their own candy to take home. Having clear glass jars all different shapes and sizes and using height to make the jars on different levels looks great, getting candy the same colors as the flowers and wedding theme colors ties in really nice. The wedding we just did with this option had yellow and pink so the bride chose lemon drops, pink and white m & m's, pastels, and other candies in these colors. If you go to the grocery store and look at the bulk candy, that's a good way to find candy in your color theme. For weddings at 5120, we have all of the cool jars that you'll need so you won't have to buy them.

Great Wedding Ideas!

I am the Event Coordinator/Wedding Planner at 5120 Restaurant & Onyx Bar in Bloomington. Our venue is on the small side and we can host up to 120 guests so many of these ideas may be more geared towards a smaller group, we do lots of weddings for 70-100 people. I have a few thoughts and ideas that I think would be fun to share with brides!

Instead of doing the traditional long, one-sided head table, doing a two person table exclusively for the bride and
groom, I believe this is known as the sweetheart table.
It looks romantic and intimate and for the wedding parties with one attendant on each side and tables designed for 6 to 8 people it alleviates the bride from having to choose some guests to sit with her and leaving other guests out. It is also nice for larger groups as it allows the wedding party an opportunity to sit with their spouses or significant others as often the spouses do not know anyone at the reception.
